Mpoma Primary School

Our New Primary School opened its doors in February 2014 catering for children from Primary One to Primary Four. The following year we increased the classes to include Primary Five and Six, this year we have a full compliment of classes having also started Primary Seven. Children in our school includes those of primary school age who are in our children’s home and many more from the community. Our numbers at the moment are 125 children. None of our classes exceed twenty children which means they receive more personal care from the teachers and have the chance to improve on their own performances. Our head teacher is also trained to teach those children with special needs. At the moment we have five purpose built classrooms but we still need at least two more as some classes are sharing space in the main hall which can of course be quite noisy. We also need a mini bus as our jeep has finally given up the ghost! The transport is needed for taking our children back and forward from the children’s home, for educational trips, for sports and for medical assistance. If you can help us to raise funds to purchase a mini bus or help with the ongoing building projects we would be most grateful.
